Honoring those who have passed before us
on these dias de los muertos
When times are tough,
sometimes all we need is a friend who will sit by our side.
Sometimes we try to grip too tightly…
control, plan, require – filled with utter seriousness.
That usually just backfires, doesn’t it?
Oh, if only I could count on my brain to engage every time
BEFORE words come out of my mouth
When we think of forgiving in our families,
it’s not just parents that cause hurts.
Sometimes it’s children that create resentments inside.
Let go of that hurt to to step forward in peace.
The sun settles into shorter days, raging winds become breezes,
as we each personally shift and grow
with each new challenge in life,
may we all have better days ahead my friends.

My thoughts and prayers
go out to all those impacted by these storms.
Most everything that happens in life is not about me. 🙂
It might be time to stop taking things so personally.
It may sometimes be difficult or even sad,
but change is what helps us grow.
Being aware of where we are,
how we are feeling,
what we have right in front of us
can trigger a flood of gratitude
if we let it.
